a new chain ring and sprocket? Or, can I flip them round and re-use them?

The Surly stainless chainrings are claimed to be reversible - I guess it depends on how the bolt holes are made.

If that's a screw-on fixed sprocket, I don't see how you can put it on the other way round. You need a new one!

Or is this thread just you telling us how many miles you've ridden fixed?

I flip them, (regular freehub), but before they are that worn.

Yes you can flip them.

Riding fixed?!! Sod that, its a hub gear.

I've heard of people flipping Rohloff sprockets but no idea how worn they can be before that is not possible. Unfortunately I've been a bit lax on the maintenance over the winter so I could keep riding. Guess this might be a £80 lesson learnt.

I've seen and used worse. Try it. It can't be any worse and it won't affect the shifting. 😉

Or just carry on as they are? I run SS rings till they pretty much fold over. Tons of life in those
