Is post mount newer than IS? What are the advantages one over the other? From my pov I can't see the advantage of IS over the ease of setup of postmount.

forks all seem to be post mount these days, but frames are pretty much all IS mount... post is easier to setup but once I/S is set there is nothing in it. Most calipers are now post mount and means you dont need an adaptor at the front, unless you have a big disc.
