Has anyone done this? If so do you have any route suggestions?

Cheers,

Cycle paths in Holland are extremely well signposted and on sections where you share the road other drivers they treat you with complete respect - very unlike the UK!

If you're going from Harwich to Hoek Van Hoolland then riding up the coast via Den Haag to Haarlem then heading east/inland to Amsterdam would be my choice of route. The direct route won't be as picturesque etc.

Can you pick up that Sustrans trans Pennine trail to Hull?

Why not do a bit of Belgium as well, take the boat to Belgium (or the Eurostar) and follow through the South West of the Netherlands, do a bit of Noord Brabant, via the hills in the East of the country, through Utrecht and then end up in Amsterdam. Imho much nicer than the crowded west (although it would be nice to see the mills at kinderdijk near Rotterdam - very over the top typical Dutch :-).
