Anyone done this? What is the terrain like?

Reason I ask is my Dad and I are planning on doing it. He has recently had surgery and shouldn't be doing anything too bad so I suggested this but dont want to get there and find it is quite rough etc

I haven't ridden it for some time but you should find it a reasonably smooth ride, the odd root, step and bumpy bit but thats all. Not much in the way of hills just a couple of short ones on/near the road section.
Its a good fun ride, just watch out for walkers on the many corners, and the odd horse rider.

easy enough though it's been a little while since I've done it I can't see it having changed too much. Pretty flat too (in the main). The only word of caution being that depending on what time / day you're planning on doing it it can get pretty busy with walkers etc.

There used to be races round it back in the day!

If you want something gentle it might be worth trying Bedgebury, it's just up the road from Bewl.

Pick a nice day and it's absolutely stunning.

Not challenging in the way of terrain, but there are a few sharp hills that might get the heart rate up for a couple of minutes.

There is a stretch of steep bumpy offroad descent about half way around that springs to mind – your dad might have to be careful post surgery, but that's about it. The two or three other climbs are on road, but it depends upon the direction.
