Afternoon all
Right, i need some help. The college i work for is keen to start the dicounted bikes for employees thingy - Yay!
I have been tasked with presenting the different options available plus their pro's and cons to the SMT. I know that there are a few different schemes but need some help on putting the whole thing together.
Any info would be helpful plus i could use some specific info on companies that provide loans to susidise the scheme rather than the employer.
thanks in advance

Try www.cyclescheme.co.uk, so far as a I know they finance it for the company by taking 10% of the bike price from the shop. Loads of shops are already signed up.
My company administers the scheme independently. This means that while the employer fronts the money, the employees can pick from any LBS or mail order. Because the shop isn't taking a hit from the loan provider, they are more likely to give discounts, making the bike even cheaper. I don't think it's especially complicated to do for the accountant, but I can get more info on that if you need it. Basically all we do is find a bike, get a paper quote to the accountant and he sorts out a cheque. Takes days to sort out, whereas I have heard that cyclescheme involves vouchers and some longer delays.
