Im looking for a new cycle computer / GPS device for the bars. Having made a schoolboy error last time buying a Cateye and finding that once out on the bike I couldnt read the display due to being long sighted, I am therefore keen to get it right this time.

Does anyone have any suggestions for something that is easily readable for a 'blind pugh' such as I ?

Dont mind a GPS or a normal computer provided its easily readable

how big would the text have to be for you to read it ?

try a handlebar extender and angle it down to move further away from you ? (minoura do one I think)

maybe you can get a magnifying lens fixed over it ? (I bet there's loads advertised in the back of broadsheet sunday papers)

Garmin 800 is customisable from 2 to 8 data fields.
If you've only got two, the text is pretty big.
I think other Garmins offer the option too.
Where are you ? Maybe someone will let you have a look at theirs before you buy.

I'm in Herefordshire. Liking the sound of the Garmin. Must have a look for a deal on one
