Fancy making my very ugly but functional 3 Cree XR-E R2 much smaller. I presume being the same star size and lens shape I could fashion a lens from a XR-E collection.
Wally your very functional 2 XRE R2 is a much better light than any MCE will ever be unless you go with a huge optic so not really making any improvement in size .
best bet would be to wait a little bit and see what comes out in the next month or so .imho you would be making a backwards step going with the MCE and any XPE optic will be pretty crap with it too .

Trout, if you have time -what is the smallest triple R2 LED and optic combination I can order from these guys. No rush for postage so free postage appeals -rather than the charges lottery of Cutter.
