Put an order in yesterday,paid by Paypal,got confirmation email from CRC,it has now vanished from my order list,and they have been engaged for the last hour,what's happening?

check youve logged in with your paypal address if its different to another address you've previously used to create an account at CRC.
It showed up under my usual address yesterday after I'd paid for it.

Hi,
A few of you may have noticed less than great results from the website of late, well this was down to an increased volume of users and the demand on the server...
Now bear with me as I am no IT expert, but basically we have a new server and it is running in tandem with the old as the address of the new version has not filtered through to everywhere yet.
As soon as there are no more users on the old site then this will cease to be accessable, and we will transfer the information held there to the new one (hopefully tomorrow)
The server swap is the reason some people are having issues logging in or seeing orders in accounts (Though thanks to Stoner who rightly said it could be a Paypal email address issue). The situation will be resolved when the information moves over.
Until then please bear with us, the improvment in speed and stability should be worth it.
If anyone has an urgent enquiry with an order email sales@chainreactioncycles.com or try us on the phones, though as a result of this issue lines are busy I am afraid.

Thanks for the update Andy. I'm the same - having placed an order this morning which is no longer visible when I log into my account. However, 'Caroline' has been really helpful via email so I'd recommend that route if anyone else is having problems (as long as I get my new rear mech by Saturday 🙂 )
The orders are coming in as normal and being processed fine, it is simply an issue over viewing orders (only ones from yesterday are affected) or logging in (accounts created yesterday).
Hopefully all will be back in place earlyish tomorrow.

Got the order this morning,they haven't sent me one of the items,no explanation,just not there.

Heh, they did that to my GF too, and then were fairly rude and unhelpful sorting it out. Took 2 or 3 weeks to get a pair of brakes!
Not to mention the issues I've had with parcelforce for my last CRC orders, but CRC are only slightly to blame there (they could offer a different courier).
I do think there's a downward trend in CRC service from my view in recent months.
In their defence, they've been spot on with me regarding the server issues. This morning, I received confirmation that yesterday's order has been dispatched and the following:

server or no server why did i place an order at 10pm last saturday night and it shows on parcelforces website as being posted out on tuesday at lunchtime! understand it prob would have waited till monday to start moving, but tuesday. friday luch and p/farce still havent turned up!
ordered from wiggle on tuesday [u]night,did the free post 2-5 day we are in no rush option and bang, it on my doorstep fri 9am!
