[Closed] CRC, Credit where it's due

I bought some 5-10 impacts 11 months ago and this month they started to spectacularly fail. Both sides of both shoes just fell apart and the steath rubber cracked leaving a big hole in the side.

My brothers pair had the exact same fault too, so I was a bit disappointed.

I sent some pics into CRC and they honoured the 12 month warranty without any trouble and i've been given a refund. So credit where it's due, well done CRC.

Commencal can't put matching components in a box to save their lives, CRC very kindly sorting me out with the right bits for my build.

+1 unklehomer
I had pretty much the same issues as him (although at least I got the right frame in my box if not the right bottom bracket of fork decals) and Crc have been great (as where Hope, eventually)

A wee while back, CRC sold me a pair of Blackspire pedals, which turned out to weigh way more than the claimed weight. So I sent 'em back (for free) and complained a wee bit. End result- fast refund, changed website, and £5 gift voucher (with no minimum spend, so I used it to buy something for a fiver, nice)

I still like 'em. I just don't expect them to be fast. They were fantastic with my warranty claim Mmmbop, sent them a copy of the email from Brant that said "That's boned- get another one" and I had the refund in my account before they even had the frame back.

You weighed the pedals? Man, some folk take all this bike stuff far too seriously.

What? Weight is part of the package, I wouldn't have paid £50 for a pedal at that weight.

Only weighed them after I picked them up and they were obviously weighty, mind- I'd have settled for "close enough" but not "about 50% heavier than they should be"

Fair enough. I'd never have weighed a pedal though. Mind you I've never weighed any bike part.

I had an X9 shifter that died, sent it back and got a refund no hassle whatsoever. Just wish they were capable of posting stuff a bit quicker when they have a sale on...ordered a cassette and chain on Tuesday and its still not been sent. Phoned and they lady blamed it on lots of extra orders due to the sale...

In my defence, uh... Wait... Nah, even Lance couldn't come up for a defence for my weightweenieism. (I weighed the seatclamp on my 40lb downhill bike!)
