a little jack russel just tried to outrun me and then jump through the spokes in my front wheel. didn't hurt much at the time but i'm in pain now, shoulder, ribs, elbow, hip and knee all injured. helmet knackered and torn jacket. ffs:-(

Had same thing happen to me riding down the local cycle path (plym vally), rode past a couple saw their dog on the other side of the path and watched in slow motion as it ran right across my path just as I was going past amazing how quickly my bike stopped! Dog yelped and but was fine, my knee pads had a MASSIVE dig in them was so glad to have them on otherwise would have needed stitches!

Should have chased it down and kicked the shit out of it. Then again, you'd get dogshit on your shoes.

Swings and roundabouts i suppose.

this was on a cycle path that i often use. thing is, i've been chased by dogs loads of times on this path. its wrong but shouldn't use it, you can't teach a dog who has right of way. most of the dog walkers are elderly and i spoke to this one who was shocked and apologetic. i didn't want to make something of it even though its annoying.

letmetalktomark - Taking things a bit too seriously? 🙄

Keavo- how's a dog supposed to know you've got spokes in those wheels. Can I suggest you get some spokey-dokeys to avoid future incidents?

Your right. 😳

As a rider and also a dog owner it makes me mad that dogs get such a bad rap.

Apologies if any offense was caused.

Blimey, I thinkyour sarcasm detector may need re-calibrating.

AS if I'd speak in that manner to make a serious point!

Small dogs are yappy evil things......if it's still walking you weren't riding fast enough 😉

(PS Dog lover here should anyone get offended.....)

i was nearly revved out on 42x18. i think the dog knew it was beat so made a late suicide bomber style manouvre. better idea than spokey dokey's...spinergy rev-x would cause some damage.
