Has anyone had an issue removing the shaft that runs though the pivot close to the BB? Any tips would be most welcome because I'm tearing my hair out. I've loosened the two pinch bolts and am now trying to hammer the shaft through but am getting nowhere.

Panic over. Brute force and ignorance. I've never hit anything so hard in my life I don't think!
