Has anyone ended up on a smaller bike than usual as a result of Longshot geometry?
I would normally be a Large but with a 50mm stem think the reach of a Medium might be better
Not here, always ridden medium, have a longshot medium soul & it feels like the best fitting bike I've ever had.
I usually size up to large, but I'm on a medium Solarismax.
Is that the same? It might be.
Get a demo anyway.
I'm in the same position: I've a large Rocket26 and a large mk2 Solaris, but looking at the sizing charts and being 180cm I'm thinking a medium with a shortish but not too short stem might be better for general trail use.
Nope, normally a large and riding a large. Like chakaping says, get a demo, they must be the easiest bikes to demo.
Might be Ross, I went from Large mk2 to medium current SolarisMAX and I'm 5ft 8in on a good day.
Demo man Sam said I might like a large but the medium is spot-on for me for trail riding.
Nope - always been a medium (5'10") since Cotic first started and my mkV Soul is no different. If anything, having been demoing the latest gen Droplink bikes recently, the steep seat angles make them feel a little short when sat down unless the saddle is slammed right back. Fine when stood up though.
I was on a large Kona process and a large transition patrol felt right size wise. Think my medium airdrop edit felt a little small. At 5’8” I’m now on a medium rocketmax and it fits perfectly.
Everyone is right the demo thing with cotic is so so easy.
on an XL intense primer and got the XL solaris after speaking with Cy, feels perfect for me at 6ft2 with 35mm stem.
tried a large and it felt a bit cramped.
front is lower but you get used to that.
