who's using these as all day trail bike's. currently have a scandal with 85-115 reba's on it. just htining about getting one of these for the summer months with a longer fork for riding in the lakes. can't afford a new soul which is the obvious answer.

I think it'd be fine as long as you size it correctly. A lot of folks go a frame size down for the BFe (including me - I have a medium Soul and a small BFe) which can compromise it's climbing ability.
There is a bit of a weight penalty compared to the Soul but it's only a 1lb or so - in fact in their current builds my bikes are about the same weight (down to the Soul having coil forks and the BFe air ones mostly).

I had a small one for a while and it hurt me even on couple-of-hours rides
medium would have been fine I'm sure, it's got a firm but still quite forgiving ride
