I'm in the market for a double crankset with a bash... I like the shimano M675 but £50 for a blackspire defender bash seems a little steep.
Has anyone tried to convert a 24-32-42 to 24-38-bash? I'm thinking of either a blackspire 38T middle ring or a Shimano Alivo 38T middle ring.
I'm wondering if it will it work with a direct mount front mech or whether the mech will be too low for the 38T middle ring?
