I have a contour roam,and when I play it back on my lap top in full HD it plays really slow, so I guess my lap top isnt up to the job, I have pluged it in to my ps3 and it shows up but says there are no files on the camera when there are, any ideas what im doing wrong or will it just not work

Have you tried recording at a lower resolution and seeing it that works on your PC? It might not be working on your PS3 due to the file format, what format does it save in? You maybe able to convert it on your PC then playback on your PS3?
If it shows up on your PS3 as a USB mass storage device the files need to be in a top level folder called 'videos'(I think) in order for the PS3 to recognise it. Or at least it did the last time I tried to put anything on from a physical drive.
Slow stuttering video could be down to the laptop performance. Check the spec of what you have. The graphics card on the laptop may be a week link as well, check drivers. Also the video viewer may not be ideal.
The file format is most likely to be the issue with the PS3. You will need to save the file as a video format that the PS3 will work with.
