Originally bought my road bike for training for sportives as well as commuting, but i only commute (25 mins) on it these days, no time for training really. Anyone else done it?
I swapped my road bike for a Spesh Tricross FOR commuting!! That way I could take a more off road route when it suited me 🙂
I now only live a mile from work so I either walk or take the MTB.

Yup I sold my PX Superlight frame and swapped most of the bits onto a Kaffenback. Got a rack and mudguards on it, and it can do a bit of light off road with the 28c tyres. It's much better really, and works fine as a pure road bike if I take the rack off and put skinny tyres back on - did a sportive like that.
Still lust after a super-shiny light racer as well though - but the Kaff is great and much more practical
