OK... Looking to up the braking a little on my road/commuter.

I'm running Tektro Novela brakes that I'm pretty happy with, they're reliable and work fine (if a little unwieldy to adjust). However, cable renewal time is about due and I'm wondering about compressionless cables. My mate runs them with his bb7 and really likes them, but I'm wondering about the following -

Best brand? Is one compressionless cable better than another?

What's the difference between Jagwire Switch and Ripcord? On paper they seem the same, but ones a bit more expensive than the other.

I'm running organic pads which give pretty decent power (but short lifespan).

I put the Jagwire Ripcord outers on my BB7ed mtb and the braked are a lot firmer and have lost that spongy feeling. Worth the cost.

Cheers. I'm gonna give them a try. Do you know what the difference between Switch and Ripcord is? The descriptions are identical, but the price isn't.. And the Jagwire site features neither.. :S
