Right, I'm feeling all motivated to get yself into proper shape this coming year and as part of this 'idea' I'm wanting to find all the events that are going on that I can plan to include so I have some targets and aims. I'm not looking for DH racing or short-course multi-lap XC like the Scottish XC series - these are just out-and-out competitions and I'm not in the slightest bit competitive. So I'm looking for things like 6hr/12hr/24hr events that although are competitive, they don't feel the same sort of competitiveness as the XC laps.

So where can I find this information? I'm not really sure what I'm looking for so not clear on where I should be looking.

Cheers.

Cheers, anywhere else? According to that website there are only 3 MTB Endurance events next year - no MTB XC or off-Road (Non-competitive) - I'm assuming it still needs populated - but what about the 10 Under series? Wildboar? the 24hr events and the like?

Thanks.

10 Under etc are run by No Fuss Events - google it and you'll find a whole host of enduro style events. They run their own insurance etc so their events don't show up on British or Scottish cycling websites.

How about the pretty exhaustive looking Numplumz calendar?

www.cvmbc.co.uk - website needs updating, but you'll get the idea. Links on there to other similar events locally.

Hi Cullen, MTB-Scotland's website is well and truly dead...no idea what is happening with it at all.

Eldrik, thank for that link - a veritable gold mine of info...cheers.

Doing something similar myself DB.
Took the first step today, had an ecg with the likelihood of being medicated by the end of the week. Plan now is to get a physio appointment in the new year and get my knackered old back into shape. Then to lose 2st come June when I am on holiday.

Events I am planning to do are the Hardrock and Montane. Throw in a few Trailquests, Kirry 10 and maybe the Selkirk (Merida?)
