[Closed] Cold weather glove with thin palm

I have some Sealskinz water proof gloves that are great at keeping the water and wind off my hands. But I don't like the feel on the bars with them.

I have seen some 100% Brisker gloves that have thin palms and a bit of insulation on top, but a review said they are not actually windproof.

Any recommendations for windproof gloves with thin palms (no gell)?

Briskers are great. They aren't what I'd call deep winter gloves but I wear them for a lot more through the winter than my heavyweight thermal gloves- they're 'just enough' a lot of the time. I'm surprised about the 'not windproof' comment as I'd say they're pretty good in that regard, it's when the temperature drops rather than the wind gets up that they start to be limited.

Picked up some Grip Grab windproof gloves from Cycle Republic for 20 quid. Haven't used them yet but have a thin palm. Also have some Briskers and agreed completely with swannys comments above.

Cheers for the feedback about the Briskers, I'll check out the others as well.

+1 for the Briskers. Add a pair of thin liner gloves for extra warmth.

I got some of these a couple of months ago, perfect for those chilly mornings and not bulky. Also seem to be somewhat water resistant.

Hi
Does anyone remember the old style Specialized Equinox gloves. Like the ones on this link hopefully????
https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=specialised+equinox+gloves&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&hl=en-gb&client=safari#imgrc=4l_xNv_a40IO8M:

These were my favourite 3 season gloves but mine have finally given up the ghost.
Anyone know where I can get anything similar
Cheers
Steve

I use windproof gloves with thin Merino wool gloves underneath and they are lovely and toasty

I also loved those equinox gloves. I'm currently using defeet dura gloves. I also carry a spare pair in my pack and if it gets too chilly for one pair put the other pair over the top. Not windproof but I've never had a problem with windchill affecting my hands too much, I run pretty hot though and it has to be properly wintery before I put on my Sealskinz.

If you’re happy to splash some cash, the Castelli alpha ROS gloves are brilliant.

I’m loving the Endura FS260 gloves at the moment, neoprene so they keep the water off for a good while, but stay warm if they soak through. No padding at all on the palm. They aren’t suitable for really cold rides, but I’m wearing them on most rides (road and MTB) at the moment.

I bought a pair of the 7idp Arctic gloves recently and cannot rate them highly enough and at a wallet friendly price too.

I like the Briskers but if it’s below about 4 degrees I find them cold

Bit of a skinflint solution, but on cold days I wear a pair of disposable nitrile gloves under my normal gloves. Warm, dry windproof and doesn't affect "feel".

Rab Velocity Gloves
I can’t wear bulky gloves but these are warm enough for me to ski in.
Leather palm or improved feel - not cheap though.

I also use aldi winter gloves but there isn't a lot of feel in them

My best solution is pogies and gloves. Lovely warm hands, looks ridiculous but that just matches my mudguards

Galibier have their new glove out now, might pick up a pair. Anyone tried these new ones yet?
