Anybody done this, I know the Butcher APP is designed around an air shock, but I'm finding the ride pretty hard, obviously you need to run the sag on these between 15-20mm so your not to far in the travel. I find the ride a bit rough to be honest, mybe send my shock for a tune..it's a Float with low compression/rebound tune.

Thanks guys

I haven't done it but was talking to a guy at the Santa Cruz factory when I was over there about exactly that and he said that he would definitely stick a coil on there.

He did also say that if the frame size is smaller, sometimes you need to flip the shock over to allow for clearance (not sure what size your frame is so thought I had better add that bit).

If you are a fan of coil chocks and you're not worried about weight, I'd go for it!

It's a large frame so shouldn't be a problem, thanks
