Hi, are these any good? Need something to inflate tubeless will these inflate from fully flat as my track pump is struggling!
Any one brand better than the others?
Thanks in advance
For tubeless we had poor results with both Topeak and Specialized. Weldtite Jetvalve one prefered now. www.tyreinflators.co.uk for Co2.
yeah these are pretty good they go from 0psi to around 30psi in say 2 seconds! so it should work well also someone on here knows of a site that does cartridges for a really good price about £10 for a pack of 10 iirc if you find out who let me know. edit; just seen the post above that's them!
I don't run tubeless so I can't answer that question, however I've been using a CO2 cartridge system to pump up tyres/tubes for the last 3 years & I'll never go back to a hand pump again. You clip it on to the valve, press the button & Hey Presto it's inflated job done 2 secs.
I got my Innovations second wind CO2 pump & my cartridges from Tyre Inflators they are the cheapest place I can find to get spare carts.
Was looking at the Innovations brand and they look good quality.
SKS also look good although a little more expensive. They also do a dual cartridge and mini pump.
When using CO2 how do people get on with gauging the pressure?
Be aware that Co2 doesn't always work for popping on tubeless tyres. I suspect on average over about 50 cartridges 10-15 have failed. It is still a good idea to get one side of the tyre seated with an inner tube and still use plenty of soapy bubbles on the remaining side.
(I only have experience of Stan's Flow, Olympic and 355 rims with a variety of non tubeless tyres)
My Innovations Second Wind pump is a dual CO2 & mini pump & fantastic value for money IMHO. I have two of them, one for each bike & they do both Schrader & Presta valves.
One 16g cart will normally pump a 26" x 2.1 tyre to approx. 35psi-ish, it depends on the tyre tho some are narrow & the pressure can be higher, others are maybe wider & the pressure is slightly less. I tend to test them with my thumb, too soft pump more air in, too hard let some out. I can't be ar$ed to carry a gauge with me.
ok i followed that link and bought a pack of 10 threaded 16g mosa cartridges (£4.68 plus vat)a mosa mini inflator with two 16g threaded cartridges (£5.95 plus vat)and a mosa comfort grip (0.25 plus vat) so that's an inflator, 12 cartridges and the comfort grip, total £17.60 inc vat and delivery.
Just been looking at the 2nd wind on the web. Looks just what im looking for!
