[Closed] Cleaning Formula R1 pistons............

I had to replace the pads on my R1 brakes as the old sintered ones were pretty much destroyed (so thin they were starting to disintegrate).
I bought some replacement Kelvar pads from Superstar to see what they are like for performance. ๐Ÿ™‚

The front pads fitted without a problem, the rear pads are too close together and I'm thinking that the pistons might need cleaned. I've read that isopropyl alcohol is the way to go, is this right? Does anyone lube the piston after cleaning and if so what with?

The Superstar pads look fine by the way, the springs they supply with them are unfortunately made of cheese and are all but useless. I replaced the existing springs rather than take a chance on the Superstar ones.......... ๐Ÿ˜•
