Any locals know what the current riding conditions are like ?  I fancy a nice singletrack leafy ride, but it might be a bit too sloppy now ?

I was thinking of the area between Goring and Princess Risborough.

Cheers

getting muddier on the NWD side of the Thames.

And it's supposed to be a bit damp tonight, so will only get worse.

However, mrs petec went out yesterday from streatley to aldworth. Delightful apparently. Clothes and bike a bit muddy though

Last weekend, conditions were surprisingly good, with only light mud in the sections that are often a bog by now.  Definitely on the turn though.

Yesterday the trails round Wendover were pretty much like they are in a normal summer - mostly dry but the odd bits of surface mud in places with no drainage; the full-on slop hasn't appeared yet. I'd guess Princes Risborough would be pretty much the same. The tree colours in the sun were fantastic.

It gets a bit much.  Which is why I now own a road bike.

Road bike wont be any good in the muddy Chilterns either.

Not great.

Around Wendover Woods and Aston Hill: Sticky mud, greasy roots and chalk, tones of leaves and really cold.
