I thought that P7 LED's only went up to 200-300 Lumens. Have I got that wrong, or is this ad. bullsxxt?
Seems worth a punt at £50 even at 200 lumens, but maybe not.
What do you think?
That is the Bastid / DX / Magichine / etc.
Don't think that's a 1200 more like 900 think it's the one dealextrem sell but the newer ones have a sealed battery go look.
got one mate used it friday night for the 1st time top light
It's just a DX bastid from China
£51 too so no cheaper
A p7 led is 900 lumen theoretical max output unless they have improved them
actual out put will be around 2/3 or 3/4 of this allowing for losses in the optics and less than fantastic electronics and heatsinking
great light and worth getting (got a couple - one on bars and one on helmet) but they are not 1200 lumen. They usually state 900, but that is still optomistic.
Check this

Better Light even than SSC P7 and CREE MC-E Bike light
Real Value for money
Stop spamming up the board.
A German forum group have measured the lumens of a bastid in an integrating sphere and it measured
550 lumens.out the front
it is about time light making firms quoted the lumen count out the front of their lights not the max the led may be capable of.
sounds about right trout
Nightrider and someone else ( can't remeber who) quotes real outputs. Nightriders P7 led is sold as 600 lumen IIRC
will have the real output for mine soon being tested in a lab at the moment
early reports are not too shabby .
and the waiting is painful
I saw a troutlight in the flesh a few days ago - impressive.
