Charging E-bike with a battery pack?

If you had a garage - where the E-bike stays. But the garage doesn’t have power. Could you charge a camping battery pack in your house/apartment and then carry the battery-pack to the bike. To avoid bringing the bike into the house/apartment.

what type/size of battery pack would you need to charge a typical e-bike?

Many big camping packs do supply 240v and would be enough for a bike charger. But, it's quite in-efficient charging one pack to do another, unless you can get a solar panel for it. But it will work.

This is why I'm very keen on by first eMTB having a removable battery pack, for hotel/B&B stays too. (You reading, Bird Ben? ;))

As for size, they quote a Wh (Watt-hour) capacity just like bike batteries.

Oops. I’ve just had a look at the price of a camping battery pack around 500-1000 Wh. Those prices mean that’s not an option. I thought I could pick something up for £100-200!!

You might have missed something on Prime day. I got a 300wh unit for £80 on Black Friday. Obviously not going to charge it fully but for charging over a lunchbreak or getting the battery back up to a storage level charge it does the job.

Why not just run an extension cable from house to shed. Solves the problem, and that shed's electrification is long overdue

Have a look at Anker power stations. They're always on some kind of offer but vary from 200-2000wh, have 240v out and charge from solar

Actually, they're biggest battery is 7kwh, but I suspect either way it's better/easier just to get a second battery for the bike

@johnnystorm have you got a link? I know I will have missed Prime day but that sounds cheap. I keep considering getting one as an emergency back up for winter camper vanning (up a mountain in the alps, where the battery going flat would be really miserable).

Nope, more like £500 and add more if you want solar.

Stupid long link.
£189 from what I would consider a safe manufacturer for half a charge

@phil5556

Mine is an Allpowers S300.

However, Bluetti are good and their prime day sales seem to still be live:
