I've got two bikes that have the metric trunnion shocks, one is 205x65 (patrol), the other is 205x60 (cube), but thinking of switching over the DHX2 to the patrol, looking on Fox's website, both the 60 and 65mm trunnion shocks have the same build parts, and from pictures it looks like the only difference is a 5mm spacer under the bung, is this the case, if i remove this will i then have a 205x65 which will then give me full travel on the patrol?

Is there any other issues that would occur on this, reading up i can't see any real problems, but info on this stuff is pretty hard to find on the internet!

Its normally a nylon spacer, its removable but you need to be very careful not to scratch the shaft. I've cut one off in the past by cutting into both sides, then splitting it open.
