just looking for a chain guide for my trail bike. Any advice?
to mount using what method ?
And what sort of setup do you have?
If it's a 1x, and you have iscg mounts, then these dinky wee guards you can get now are great- they fit more easily than oldscool ones because you don't have to take the crank off, they're light, and they're really simple (because narrow/wides do such a good job of keeping a chain on, you don't need a monster, you just need a wee gentle nudge). I have a Shovel one, just because that was the only choice at the time, but there's others now- Oneup do one, rpoabbyl others.
Got a OneUp direct mount jobby, works great and doesn't cost the earth/weigh much.
I would recommend the One-up.
Nice bash guard and a little top guard, job done.
thanks,
ive got a 3x at the front and was wondering if any could, in principle, be appropriate or compatible without compromising the bikes performance and ride.
3x???
Stone him. He's a witch.
