Just want to check my mech's not going to explode;
Put the quick link so it was the last link at the bottom jockey wheel.
At full compression there was one whole link between the quick link and the jockey wheel.
Is this my chain growth?

You let all the air out the shock (or remove the coil) so that the whole rear end compresses fully - as long as the chain and mech aren't stretched under tension then the chain is fine...not sure if there is any more technical way of doing it but that is what I do - I try it in big-big and small-small just to be totally sure (but probably just needs to be big-big).
