Another thought, my Cotic has the front caliper on the front of the right leg not the back of the left as is more usual because Cy was worried about wheel ejection.
Is it likely to result in a self unscrewing rotor if I fit a centrelock wheel 'backwards'? If so I'll avoid and stay 6 bolt...
It shouldn't unscrew, because the rotor is held in place by splines, and the locknut will not be under any rotational forces.

No experience of centre locks, I've always been 6bolt so wasn't sure.

Worth noting that with a centrelock rotor you'll be running it backwards. With a 6 bolt you turn the wheel round but just move the rotor across, so the rotation is correct. Centrelock can only be mounted on the hub one way so the rotor will be running backwards in that fork. CL rotors look reasonably meaty so I'm not sure how much it would bother me but I'd probably use a normal rotor and adaptor given the choice.
Also, just in case, dynamo hubs generally aren't keen on running backwards either.

Like many 6-bolt rotors centrelocks are directional
You'll also need one of the external BB-style lock rings if you have a 15 or 20 mm axle
The rotor being backwards won't make a difference unless you're upset by how it looks! However, if you already have 6 bolt I'd choose that and put the rotor the right way 'just in case'.
