So just about to push the button on a SS midweight jersey which is racecut (who am I kidding!)

At 6ft, 40in chest and 80kg.....I'm thinking XL?

I'm top end of a M, bottom of a L in rapha

I’m 6’4”, 41” chest, 90kg, and Castelli XL normally fits me nicely.

Always size up from normal - they are very much "Italian cut" and by Italian I mean Frankie Dettori rather than Paverotti.

I'm 5'11" with a 38" chest and just shy of 69kg. I'm a size large in Castelli bibs, and most jerseys.

I'm 6'2", 39" chest, 77kg, and the large Castelli racefit is the right size for me (assuming you want a racefit!).  I wear medium in the Morvelo & Rapha tops that I own

6’2” , 32” waist and 84kg. Wear L in Rapha etc but XL in Castilli, especially the bibs as the L stretched to the point my crack was visible, much to my wife’s hilarity!

6’ + 100kg = XXXL

I'm the same except 10KG heavier so would suggest I have a bigger build - I wear L, and XL would be too big.   I have bust a zip on a Jersey whilst simply standing in it though.   I'd say race fit would be too small for the OP, normal L would be OK - OP can you try it on and send it back?

I could buy both sizes I guess - From the matrix of figures given here and cross referencing my fat gut, I reckon XL

I'm not sold on castelli - I just wanted a high quality short sleeve jersey for summer commuting in a high vis colour - i.e pink or flo yellow

^^^ I'd say XL. I have about 5 of their tops, all XL. I am 5ft 10, 42 chest, 34 waist, 77 kilos. They fit perfectly and I wouldn't want them any smaller.

6ft 2 , 42" chest, I'd go XL for racing XXL for being able to move in it and not look like an overstuffed salami

6'2", 32" waist, 42" chest, 78kg. I wear a large jersey. (But their shorts just don't fit me.)

I use to have a 40 inch chest at 80 kg and was an xl in castelli. Now I'm 10 kilos lighter but still use a large.

I have the castelli mid weight jersey. I'm 6ft, 75 kg and got a Large. Fit is great, tight with no loose bits. I don't think I'd want to be too much bigger. Awesome jersey though, tempted to get a 2nd one.

By description Id guess at a size large jersey. Worth remembering the XL will be longer; so with pockets packed on back there could be a risk of having that MAMIL look of having back of jersey hanging half way down your arse!

6'4", 85kg, I have xl in a Castilli ss jersey. Not sure if its race fit tho, but think it is.

A really nice piece of kit and nice to wear.

I got a lime green one for the visibility aspect.

Based on my weight which is now 78kg and my desire to lose 5kg this summer, L it is.

I'm looking at a Castelli jersey on Merlin, and can not work out sizing.

I am 5ft 7 38/40 chest (long torso, short legs). In most 'normal' clothing I am a medium. I bought a Polaris jersey not long back size medium and it is too figure hugging for my liking (Im not fat but not skinny either)

Would a Castelli Large be the best option, or even go XL?

Ta

Hi Funkydunc, I’m 5 foot 8, 69kgs, in my SS gabba I’m a small, in my aero race ss it’s a medium and a little loose.

I’d go for a large at the most.

I'm 80kg and medium in absolutely everything except my Castelli bibs, which are a large. The fit is spot on.

I’m about the same height weight as Woodster and small in Castelli jerseys fits me perfect. I think if you’re in shape or have somewhat of a cyclist build, the Castelli sizing is pretty true to size and no different from Etxeondo or Gore for example in my experience - I have never had to “go up a size”. But if you’re carrying a small spare tyre or a few spare tubes around the waist then you might have to... sorry 😐.

Thanks for the advice.

Think I will go for the large. Ive no beer belly or anything, but no one deserves to see any fat on a MAMIL !

What height and weight are you? I’m struggling to get my head around that after all the advice from several different wearers.

78 kg 5ft 7

It’s the arms and shoulders that are tight.

I’m not skinny but no beer belly etc either

There is no way you’d be an XL unless you are all body any no legs like Johnny Bravo.

Unless maybe the Castelli fit isn’t for you.

https://www.merlincycles.com/castelli-giro-102-bologna-cycling-jersey-173778.html

It’s one of them, maybe it’s supposed to be skin suit thing ?

Just put it on the bed against a medium everyday Jack Wolfskin t-shirt and it’s 1.5” narrower across the shoulders

Only thing I can think of is perhaps because it’s a limited edition jersey and not one of their well known jerseys with those graphics, maybe that sizing is slightly off from some of their other jerseys. But generally they do feel tight on the biceps and shoulders first time you put them on, but lean forward in the road bike position and it’s not as tight . Can do this by leaning up against a wall or whatever.

No I've got several Castelli jerseys including one of the Giro "specials". All cut the same. I'm 5' 7" but only 60kg. Small fits me but they are "race fit".

Well I was just trying to give some other insight into a possibility — if you’ve read the other replies, you’d know the current advice on sizing we all gave didn’t work.
I’m about 5’8 and 64 to 69kg, size small Gabba and Perfetto is perfect on me.
