I have a canyon neuron FS MTB with a dropper post and want to transport it on my Saris Bones 3 rack. The obvious way seems to be to use a bike beam between the dropper post and the handlebars to create a top tube - is this OK or will it damage the dropper post ?
I used to do just that on my older kona process, worked fine, but make sure you pad out around the head tube so you dont mark the paint ( ithink I used old inner tube)
If the saddle is at the top of the dropper travel (i.e. fully extended) then there's no issue with using one of those bike beams
Should be ok. More important I think is to get the centre of gravity of the bike between the arms. I'm not a big fan of that rack for heavier bikes...or motorways.
Edit: ignore me, was thinking of the other mini Saris rackÂ
