I quite fancy a pair of "Cargo" bib shorts but don't really want to pay £195 for a pair of Rapha shorts.

Seem like ok quality, but not had chance to try them on an all day exped yet.

Every time I try this I regret it, perhaps if the over-shorts are designed to attach to the under shorts so they don't slip down, and if the material wasn't too flappy and rustly etc. etc. Even in winter now I can't bring myself to put my splash-proof baggies on over my bibs, prefer a mudguard!
Bib shorts are awesome (refuse to call them baggies!), I won't be going back to shorts without bibs on the bike. I don't see any on that passione site though.

Braces are your friend. They make a massive difference. Much better than clipping into undershirts.
I have the Rapha Core Cargo Bib shorts which were half the price however they don't seem to be available anymore which is a shame because I really rate them.

Second the La Passione recommendations. Very happy with the pair I bought. Quality is good and sizing is spot on. Not lost anything from the pockets yet either...
I have the RaceFace. Bought mainly for the hydration pocket on the back which works, after a fashion, but try refilling it and putting it back when wearing them. I reckon you'd have to be Houdini.

Morvelo Overland are about £90
+1 for morvelo, not cheap but the best bibs I’ve ever used.
Also got a pair of Specialized swat bibs, ok, but not great, feel a bit cheap quality.
I have a pair of 7idp Hydros for sale if anyone wants a cheaper option. I'm just a touch too tall for them at 5'10, medium.

Castelli unlimited are good. They were half price at merlin when I bought mine a couple of months back.
If wearing under baggies, nukeproof ones are good. 3 pockets on the back and one on each leg.
Ive a pair of Nukeproof Blackline (has a pocket on each leg) and Madissons offering of the same and both are ok. Its a bit wierd/disconcerting having whatever is stashed in pockets bouncing around on your back when going offroad. In truth, its stopped me using the back pockets on anything more than urban and XC rides.
I wanted a pair of Specialised SWATs originally but they didnt have my size.
