It's notoriously difficult to find carbon forks for a CX or gravelly-type bike with a 1 1/8 steerer, unless you splash out on Ritchey's or something, but I just stumbled across these...
https://www.tritoncycles.co.uk/rahmen-gabeln-c6/rigid-forks-c51/trek-fx-3-disc-carbon-fork-p20757
Anyone have any idea what they are like? Seem to be off a hybrid that I've never heard of
They even have a 50mm offset, just like the ones on my Genesis they could potentially replace...
Bolt-through axle though. Most bikes of straight-steerer vintage will be QR so you need to factor in a hub/conversion
Spendy though...
Plenty of straight steerer carbon gravel forks on the likes of AliExpres ,some from realiable manufacturers
Well, very few replies to this but they are now out of stock so perhaps I committed an act of accidental marketing... Or they were out before and I didn't notice (don't think so though)
Hmm, so Scotroutes -- I actually quite liked the 12mm axle, I've running a Hope front so conversion is easy. The Van Nicholas looks ok, but suspiciously identical to the Brother Kepler fork...

Only problem with those is the 45mm rake (I currently have 50mm and toe overlap is already mild)
stumpy -- what counts as a reliable manufacturer on their? I guess there or many threads about that already, so I could have a look myself too
i have used several of the chinese jobs off eBay. they have all been grand, no issues. and usually £ 60 - 70 sometimes maybe need a wee file to straighten the brake mounts. occasionally lynsky second hand on eBay.
Most of the Chinese and even the Richey ones have very limited tyre clearance either in width or Axle the base of the arch.
Again used chinese job off eBay (around £60), I ordered a 26" wheel size which had loads of clearance on a 700c wheel. Just check axle to crown sizing. This was on my Lynskey build, which was a single speed 26" mtb frame, I ran 700c wheels with 29'r mtb tyres plus drop bars.....its a hoot.
eBay ones are hit and miss, though this is a quality fork with a lot of clearance about £140
I think 28" is a thing in Europe but don't be put off these are perfect for 700c cyclocross tyres with good all round clearance. I'm selling some with a frame (now it sounds like a stealth ad...sorry...) as the frame is 1-1/8 & I know they are not common, though I suspect the fork might go for more by itself!
aaaaaaannnnd we are back! Could those above who have mentioned Aliexpress carbon gravel forks with a straight steerer and qr post a link? I can’t seem to find any!
ta
Dunno about the aliexpress ones but we got some of those Radon ones which are currently £132. For the small amount extra I'm more than happy to let the Germans find the reputable supplier for me.
I'm considering get the Radon Carbon fork for my 2013 CdF. The description says clearance for 1.8" tyres but what does that roughly equate to in decimal sizing?
Can anyone who's had this fork tell me whether, say, 40mm tyre and a mudguard, would fit? Cheers
Genesis do their own carbon forks, but the price is astronomical.

I can measure the Radon ones later. There was plenty of clearance with a cx tyre and currently running semi slick cx tyres with full mudguard.

Yeah exactly. Don't fancy paying that much really.
Thanks @mick_r , that would be really helpful.

I've got a set of those (or something v similar) I bought from PoisonBikes.de a few years back in the garage, brand new and unused still in the box I could put your way for about half that.
Shout if interested
Can't get a decent photo but with a full 35mm file tread (knobbles on edges) and 45mm wide sks guard there is plenty of room for tyre and mud. Guard not pushed full up to crown (would need to file the bracket to get it to fit a bit higher).
10mm gap each side of tyre to fork legs. 18mm gap top of tyre to crown. A 40mm plus guard should fit (but maybe not a knobbly one).

Ah, thanks so much @mick_r , that's exactly the info I needed/wanted to hear! Much appreciated 👍
