Well the situation is that I introduced my Mum to 4x DH racing on Eurosport last week and she loved it. We then watched the normal DH the night afterwards.

Anyway, I saw from another thread that there was DH on tonight, but no t only was the commentator lame as, but it didn't seem to be a proper DH track, with most of it on tarmac roads.

So anyway, I have the Greg video of him commentating, and it's a good video but you dont get that sense of speed.

I wanted to show her some clips but can't seem to find the type of thing I am after.

Are there any good clips of say Steve Pete comepeting from some proper DH tracks. I have tried searching already but cant see any Eurosport clips for example, just clips of peoples' videos they made themselves.

Cheers

Si

go to freecaster.tv si.
watch the archived runs from the world cup rounds.
maybe they're more what you're after.

Cheers for the sensible links - just watched some downhill on freecaster.

Roper - I have made many dubious claims in my life, but being a Dhiller was never one of them ๐Ÿ˜€ And yeah - shame I never gave a guided tour of the rock for you!

Cheers for the sensible links

If you want some "sensible" DH footage then have a search for some pf Clay Porter's films. "Between The Tape" and "F1rst" (that's a 1 not an I) are slickly put together and "F1rst" in particular is quite an accessible look at the downhill race scene.

Some great videos here - the Sam Hill run where he crashes is incredible. Love the one lowey posted too.

Anyone know if there is a clip of Matti Leihkonen doing a silly huuuuuuge drop at the end of the Fort William 09 race? Can't seem to find it.
