Hey guys,
I have a frame with a 1.5" headtube (external fit). Could a set of tapered 1 1/8th -1.5 forks be fitted.
Personally I can't see why i couldn't mix and match a 1.5 heaset cup and a 1.5 - 1 1/8th reducer.
Can anyone advise here?

Yes you can . I do just that on my SC Nomad Carbon.
I use 1.5" tapered Lyrics & Hope Headsets. The bottom cup is a standard 1.5" Hope, the top cup a 1.5 to 1.125" reducer cup.
This allows you to run lighter 1.125" stems rather than the bigger 1.5" ones and you also have a larger choice of 1.125 stems too.
Hope allow you to mix and match when buying headset cups.
