Apologies if the title is confusing....

My new bike has a shared clamp for the rh brake and shifter, trouble is the paddles of the shifter are really annoying, hitting my thumb when riding.

From the riding position, the bracket off the brake lever clamp for the shifter doglegs to the right so bringing the shifter closer to the end of the bar and under the grip.

Can I just get a left hand bracket, which will take the shifter inboard by the equivalent of two “doglegs”.

Cant see why not unless there is some “handing” of the shifter and bracket interface?

Should work, I think; the shifter pod itself has two mounting holes as well, are you already using the "other" one?

The one below is already in the innermost position, the red circle highlights the plug that covers the alternate:

Another option would be to move the brakes inboard, SRAM brakes have unnecessarily long levers anyway.
