I get the distinct feeling the BB on my (carbon frame, if it matters) Jeffsy is going to need replacing sooner rather than later. I've been looking at the Hope replacements, and have come to the conclusion that I need this one, in 24 mm variant :

There's one thing I can't quite figure though: the Hope docs talk about a "GXP adapter". This I assume :

BUT some websites say "This compatible with any crank with a 24mm axle, so is compatible Shimano Hollowtech II and Sram GXP" about the BB so my question is - do I need a GXP adapter or not?
Is Truvativ GXP somehow special, as I thought the SRAM X01 24 mm cranks were PFGXP therefore GXP.
Any help?
ALL Sram cranks with 24mm spindle need the GXP adapter, as they have a 22mm left hand side, the GXP adapter is simply a pair of bushings for the bearing.
Thanks @Blazin_saddles - that seems clear enough, and is what I thought. I guess the “This compatible with any crank with a 24mm axle, so is compatible Shimano Hollowtech II and Sram GXP” is a bit of a half truth.
It's true but not worded clearly. The BB fits a 24mm Shimano crank, and will also fit a Sram/Truvativ GXP crank with the addition of the GXP adaptor/shim.
ps. notch the shim before fitting so you can remove it later, once the bearing dies.
Butting in sorry.... I guess they both fit either sue off of she bearing? The NDS one?
Also op, you had the fun of replacing the 11 pivot bearings on your jeffsy yet? Lol
Correct, they push in to both faces of the NDS bearing.
Cheers bud!
