I've had a 1996 Zaskar from new, and need a set of forks for it. It'll have been designed for pretty short travel forks - probably 65-70mm but there's not many like that about nowadays. I've tried a set of Fox 120 RL on it and didn't like at all.
Closest I've found is a set of 2007 Rebas at On One that'll run at 85mm but are there any reasonably priced alternatives? And is it much of a job to change the travel to 85mm on Rebas?
Some old marzocchi Z2's at about 75/80mm if you can find some on ebay. Not quite as retro as the frame but great forks that last forever
Fox F80's?
Pace RC36's?

I'd be inclined to put some rigid forks on it - most shops which have been around for any length of time will have a pile in the back they'd be more than happy to be rid of which accumulated when everyone came in to put on these newfangled springy things.
