My Lap top gave up the ghost t'other week, My mate has been trying to get some picture and stuuf off there for me. However he has been able to find some stuff that I wanted however there are a few photos from the last few months on there and they are definatley on there but we can't find them or recover them are they gone forever or can they still be got. He can find stuff that I have deleted years ago, but not these photos.

How is this possible and how can it be sorted.

When you say it gave up the ghost, what's actually wrong with it?

There are a million and one things that could be wrong and a million and one things that might help you, the problem is unless you actually give us something to go on it's pretty much impossible.

you could always remove the hard drive and fit it into one of these clicky then just navigate to the pictures etc.
