Did it last year. Pretty good course, bit too much road maybe, but lots of climbs. Shocking prep (no tea night before, and not a whole lot of carbs for breakfast) led to a comedy bout of cramp on the last climb. Got/fell off bike and started running up last 100 metres, but cramp got worse, so led to a bizarre hobble/jog/wimper. Would have been funny if it didn't hurt so much!

I've done it 4 or 5 times,I really enjoy it,and it seems popular.
As mentioned in one of the other posts, there's quite a lot of tarmac involved, and it finishes with a long (up)hill climb,it's well marshalled with food stops & stuff.
Only reason I'm missing it this year is I'm at a beer festival the night before...Cheers!

Ton, it's the ride I took you on last year, mate. Starts, more or less, at Ryburn Valley High School.

I'll be doing it again - it's my favourite route of the local challenge events. Last hill's a bit of a bugger, I cramped on that last year too. The descent off Midgely Moor will be interesting if it keeps raining between now and the event.
