I'm about to buy some new forks, but I'm confused about torque caps.

https://r2-bike.com/ROCK-SHOX-Suspension-Fork-29-REBA-RL-SA-100-mm-15-x-100-Maxle-Stealth-tapered-black-2020

From the above listing;

>Torque Caps
In order to improve the rigidity and steering precision of the overall system, the dropouts have been increased for the use of 31mm diameter end caps. Use with normal end caps is easily possible.

Can I use my existing Pro 2 front wheel in the above fork without torque caps? i.e. without having to buy anything else?

Yes, as long as it's a standard boost hub on your current wheel.

It's a bit of a pain trying to get the axle through if you don't have the torque caps on your hub but it will still fit & work fine.

Thanks for the replies.

Order has been placed.

Wheel is already 15x100, this is just to replace an old Reba fork.

Torque caps - the industry's way of admitting that 20mm axles were always better than 15
