Looking for some advice really
A mate has been running a small workshop for a few years without paying his Business Rates to the local council
There is a chance that the authorities may find out - so the big question is, would he have to pay back all the years which he hasn't paid?
It's about £1200 a year, so the bill could be substantial
Does anyone know if the local council might prosecute him for non-payment?
Any and all advice highly appreciated
Cheers

I'm pretty sure they can only go back three years...my dad had a similar issue when building a house on where he used to keep wagons.
