Has anyone been to the camp site behind the brothers water inn at the bottom of the kirkstone pass,taking mrs erny who is a newbie camper and don't want to put her off,so looking for a nice campsite with good facilities.

Its ok, but floods dead easy if it rains. Great setting.

www.sykeside.co.uk - Awesome Site - probably my fave place in the world - best during the week though as it is rammed at weekends - it can get soggy in the rain - but the higher, drier ground will be obvious and available if you get there during the week.
Good food and beer at the 2 bars, the shop is well stocked and the bogs are at least up to par.

facilities are good, but expensive and usually crowded. There is some high ground a one side, but that usually gets snapped up by those in the know.
