[Closed] Bronson V3 and Stealth Reverb Length Question

Been asked by a riding buddy if a 175mm drop Stealth Reverb will fit into a Med Bronson V3 without issue.

Looking at the Sram site the 175mm has an overall length of 467mm and the 150mm 414mm. So I reckon the frame will take the extra 53mm without issue and still being able to have seat height the same

I'm I correct and anyone know of any Reverb deals?

Cheers
Carlos

Bumpity bump

So I've looked into this a bit more and found a PDF on Srams site, but has anyone fitted a 175mm to a med Bronson V3 frame??

Hi Mate, Don't think it helps but thanks;-) He has the conectamajic (sp) on his current Reverb and you have to allow 92mm for that when working out max insertion. I'm meeting him later so will go armed with a tape measure and have a look as his seat height is different to mine.

Off topic - How you doing? Been round the Forest much or have you embraced the flat lands?

hey mate - ahhh right, in that case he'll likely struggle if its the b1 version, mines was he newest c1 shortest version they did, so may well be a fair bit longer in total length even being 175mm over my 210mm if it is the older version

im all good thanks, yeh ive not really been up the forest at all, been up maybe 2 times since lockdown, all the off piste' stuff has gone to shit and the likes, and same up goyt too, all a bit gutting really so ive just stayed away, havent succumbed to flat yet haha, still driving about to get to places, and roaches etc as always, hope you are all good too?!

@oscillatewildly Had a measure up and even the C1 version looks like it'll be tight so he'll stick with a 150mm.

All good here. Shame about the forest and Goyt for sure, but could be a good thing and generate new stuff. Should be a bit quieter up there now as people can move/drive/ride elsewhere.

I replaced the connectamajig on the bottom of my Reverb with the threaded barb, saved a bit of length

I'm on a large frame with a 150mm B1.ย  I had issues getting it in any further than having approx 30mm of post before the collar (you can still see all the 'Rock' of the Rockshox logo on the post) due to the connectamajig.ย  I then replaced it with a barb which then subsequently got damaged and would never seal properly without weeping.

Subsequently replaced with this which was much easier to connect than a barb (it comes with the fixing installed on the hose and just screws onto the reverb after removing the connectamajig assembly, cut hose to size and bleed as normal).ย  Been no issues since.
