Hello
Managed to balls up my evening by coming off my Remedy. As I came off the rear end hit a rock and is now broken - big dint in it
I know it was my fault and it will not be covered by the warrenty, but do trek sell Remedy frames only, or just rear ends? Or is is a case of strip the frame down, bin it, and buy something new?

Im sure if you contact Trek direct you may get a frame replacement
at a cost. But I dont think they sell frame only in the shops though.
Trek can supply the rear end only, and crash replacement is often discounted. Trek's warranty guys are usually really good.
Hiya,
Not sure if they normally sell frames, if they do it might be the carbon one. You should talk to them anyway or the dealer you got the bike from. Some bike companies will offer discounted frames if they are for a crash replacement. Although they are not replaced FOC under warranty, they may be cheaper than going out and buying something else.
Bad luck!
Most decent manufacturers have a crash replacement policy where you can purchase part or all of a frame at a reduced price. Depends how old the frame is but Trek have pretty good warranties so may be approachable. If it's just the rear triangle then maybe they will sell you just that.
Oh and a dint doesn't necessarily mean the frame is broken!
I put a dent in the top tube of my downhill bike (half inch and crimped). Argos cycles did a repair with automotive filler then resprayed the frame. Their work was of the highest order and totally invisible. The dent is still strong and in one piece after 2 years of hard downhilling. Maybe they will repair your trek too.

Thats good news - going to get onto my LBS tomorrow morning to see what the options are. Again was my fault so don't mind paying, just feel bad binning a bike
trek will supply (or try our very best) to supply you a swing or main frame (or both) as a crash replacement deal. take the frameset and receipt of purchase back to the store of purchase and ask them to contact us. We will
a
the broken piece and recycle/review etc.
Thanks- Colin (Trek UK)
