We will be in touch
I'm in bristol for a few days and have my five with me, got the chance to sneak a ride in either fri or early sat morning (just checked the forecast and its forecast dry!).
I'm staying at a house on st michaels hill near to the childrens hospital, i know how to get to ashton court but having run around the timberland trail last time i was here i wasn't that excited about it, not very technical and pretty flat - more territiry for my inbred than my five. Is 50 acre woods any better as thats close to there?
Any other recommendations? I have 2 - 3 hours to ride so nothing epic.
Cheers in advance,
Steve
If you have a car go to Burrington Combe and drop into Bad Ass Bikes. Rob will give you a little map. Ask him to point out where the DH runs on Rowberrow Woods are. But it will be filthy slippery!
The red route in 50 acre woods is more technical than the AC's timberland trail, but quite short and still fairly flat. The best trails in that area are in Leigh Woods, but ideally you need someone to show you where to go as there's no "official" routes. Plenty of different trails going up & down the gorge, but it hasn't stopped raining since monday and it was a mudfest & very slippy on sunday when I was up there.
Second buzz lightyears option, but will be good fun in the mud!
