Oi Brant! I've torn my hipster Hebden Bridge trousers on a rusty nail, pay me!

Whilst we're at it, I demand a full refund for my Jack Flash. The length of the chainstays are the reason why I always case doubles.

>the Stif Morf is an extremely sweet bike. Not On One,
>but Brant designed and a great bike.

That was a great project to work on. Stif gave lots of input. From the bossman Morf down.

It’s quite a long time to hold a grudge about the failure of a very cheap frame too.

Wasnt cheap to me. Took me months to save up for it. Was nearly a months mortgage payment at the time.

Were you missold an On One Inbred or other bike? Have you suffered serious psychological damage dating back years as a result? Don't despair, there's still time to claim substantial damages. Just text us on 'affordablesteelframescam2009' and we'll let you know exactly how much money Brant owes you. No need to talk to anyone or make any sort of effort, we'll do all the griping and grumbling for you. Don't delay though, the deadline for claims is 1 April, 2019.

Why didn't you just put it on your credit card, so you could get it sooner?

It was 9 years ago. Give him a break and stop being SO AGGRESSIVE.

Absolutely not. All you need is anecdotal evidence of ownership and we'll do the rest for you. Just send us your bank account details and associated passwords and we'll check how much money you're owed. All you have to do is sit back and wait for a big fat cheque to drop onto your doorstep. Everyone wins!!!

DON'T DELAY!!!

No offence intended to Robdob or other disgruntled Inbred owners btw. It just amused me that On One ownership seems to be the new PPI. Who'd have thought it.

I'm pretty sure credit cards were available 9 years ago. Could be mistaken, it was a long time ago.

I hear OnOne helmets are also good value.

Do they have ones with sweat resistant straps yet? Otherwise, I'm out.

That's up to you. Holiday of a lifetime. New sports car. Your bodyweight in Toblerone. Pay off your credit card debts from your last On One purchase. It really is your decision! As soon as you have your money, our involvement ends. It really is that simple!!!

Didn’t you also have a Ti cross frame?

'Fraid not. I nearly bought a kite, and I tried tracking down the Ti Compo, but I ran out of play money.

This isn’t a new thing. Brant knows I’ve going on about this for many years. So it’s not jumping on the bandwagon at all.

you did not HAVE to get a CC. You chose to to do this, grow up.

Yes i I do know this. I’m not an idiot. Glad you are enjoying your internet hard man role.

I sold it before it failed so I could try and get some money back and wasn’t expecting to have to do so so I got a 0% CC to make up the shortfall for a new bike - Specialized Pitch 2009 which is still my main bike.

Brant - message incoming. That is a very kind gesture. I think I need to forget about this now. Hopefully any new projects you get into are successful.

whinge enough - get free money - well played sir. Well played.

Kudos to Brant though; efforts in forums etc, to play down some of this stuff.

So cynical. You selflessly offer a public service and get a response like this. Very sad.

My own bodyweight in Toblerone? Sounds like a deal to me, keep the cash, I want dangerously high, but delicious, blood glucose levels!

You KNOWINGLY sold a defective frame design to someone (probably on here too)? You bastard!

They may have built it into a bike for their child to ride, which subsequently killed a baby robin's face. Double bastard!

What's Paul Dacre's number.....

Hes he’s not trolling. It’s all perfectly true. I seem to remember Brant even said something like ‘I should have sorted that chainstay clearance out’ on his for sale post in the classifieds when he sold it. Which put people off.....

Anyhow. I’ve still got mine (and the receipt I think....) and mine had the same godawful chainring clearence. I literally went through the chainstay in a year of riding and had a new (straighter) stay put in by Argos Cycles. That cured it 100%. It’s a great frame, I’ll never sell it. But the design/testing was woeful.

***t happens in life. Suck it up and move on like everybody else. A 9 year grudge over £250!?!?

Were you honest and open to the person you sold it to that it was failing? if Brant re pays you, will you repay the money to the unfortunate person you sold the frame to?

Not really, I just try to behave like an adult and not blame others for my decisions but if you wish to view me in that way then fab! Ooooh I feel really manly now.

and rightly so....or were you only happy to mention the design flaw when you were the buyer, not the seller?

Looks like Brant was won this 9 year battle by technical KO.

Are you offering anything for people that have bought second hand goods with known defects that haven't been disclosed?

I had one of the £400 geared Inbreds that I slowly killed and singlespeeded over five years or so, until it got nicked. Loved it.

I replaced that with one of the taperlock slot dropout singlespeed Inbred frames, which is still my main MTB. Turns out that was seven years ago; bloodly hell! I've never really fully liked this frame, but not enough to get rid, as I have a few niggles with it. I don't think Brant designed this one though?

Make an affordable version of the TD-1 pretty please. Best bike I've ever ridden.

How much did you sell it for ?

Surely you won’t be accepting the full purchase price offered by Brant if you actually sold the frame on to someone else ? 🤔

Absolutely. All you have to do is wait for the cheque to land on your head. It's like Christmas, but without the manufactured cynicism. HTH.

or do you see that as compensation for 9 years of misery and heartache?

I never really had a problem to be honest, just the one time. I have a decent amount of clearance anyway. Didn’t get more chainsuck than any other bike I have had. Wonderful bike, I wish I could keep it and have 2 MTB’s but I don’t have the cash.

LOL

back on topic. I'd love to see them make a decent xxxs frame in both mtb and cx guise that would take 26" or 27.5" wheels. perfect for building up bikes for the kids as they grow, say 9 years +
