Seems a sensible move to me. He has to go some time and being able to devote more effort to Sky seems a good idea. It seems to me that sometimes the stitching shows in that outfit.

Reading the article reminded me of something i've always found amusing. It takes a Rampton psychologist to get inside the heads of mad nutters like pro cyclists.

In other team Sky related news today the guy I posted photos of Sean Yates with in team Sky kit, Philippe Maire (the photo taken outside Maire's shop), has been officially confirmed as "Motoman" by USA Today reported here in Le Figaro as I don't have USA Today.

I won't repost the pics as they were removed by moderators last time but Google images throws them up along with lots of other pics of "Motoman" with pro cyclists if you use your imagination with key words. I hope that now the news is in reputable newspapers this purely text post is acceptable.

My money is on Hoy replacing him as he was out in Cali, Columbia doing something with them and everyone was being a bit vague as to what his actual role was. Either him or Shane Sutton.

Hoy is racing cars which must be far more enjoyable.

My money is on Boardman replacing him as he's worked with the team for years, and his comments about BC needing a new/visible leader seem to be teeing himself up for the role

Oooooo... "Steve Peters, meanwhile, has stepped down as the team's psychiatrist." That's not good. ๐Ÿ™

There seems to be wholesale changes going on at BC at present, quite a few people have left in recent weeks, not sure of that's coincidence or not.

Not sure about Sutton as the No1, most people considered him as a top No2, but not a No1.

Peters has been working with Liverpool FC recently, hopefully (as a fan) he'll be getting more involved there as he seems to be doing a great job.

That's far worse that not good.

I may need to mourn the loss on social media.

Isn't Peters working with Liverpool with the wendyballers?

Yep - he decided he needed a step up from skinny blokes riding from A to B for no obvious reason.

But doesn't a psych. need a brain to work on?

Peters is due to work with the England football team for the world cup, so I guess the Liverpool FC and England Team will now be taking up all his time, hence, leaving BC.

Chris Hoy skinny? Track racing A to B? A level of understanding only a football fan could have ๐Ÿ˜€

Track racing A to B?

Even worse - going round and round in a small circle for no good reason! And they don't have brakes - which makes it even more stoooopid! ๐Ÿ˜€

To be fair, if one of my two employers was paying enough for me to move out of Ilkeston, I'd give them my undying devotion as well ๐Ÿ˜›

Caught up with a guy (I was driving) in full Sky kit today near Selkirk, if he's not a pro he should be the way he was tearing up the hill.

Shane Sutton, eh. His one-time team mate Darryl Webster had things to say about Sutton and Sky on forums in 2010 and on a time-trialling forum in September 2012. With the confirmation of the identity of motoman in today's press Darryls comments and the images he linked on the forums become all the more pertinent. Happy Googling.
