looking for a 68/110 bb, and have been looking in my assortment of bb's and theres all sorts of stuff in there. all mixed up, which isnt very clever of me :-/

been trying to match them up, but theres different types and sizes of the plastic ends to them. the one ive taken off, the plastic thread is a loose fit on the actual bb. am i right in thinking that shouldnt have been the case? does the bb need to have a good fit in the plastic threaded end, otherwise when turning the LH crank, its putting stresses on the bb tube on the frame?

think id be better off just scrapping my 'just in case i need them' bb's and buying a new one, agreed? :-/

Yes it should be a snug fit.

Otherwise there are sleeves for 73 or 68mm - the 73 has a wider "internal shoulder".
