I've always been a firm believer in the pump like a b*stard school of seating tubeless tyres until today. I had 4 brand new tyres to fit and my mojo seemed to have ojomd. After singularly failing to seat the first 2 tyres, I borrowed a friendly bike shop's flash charger gadget.
It's blinking amazing. No need to even stretch the tyre across the rim. Roughly get the tyre on ... Two capfuls of sealant ... connect up the gadget ... flip the lever ... seated.
Needless to say, the friendly bike shop's pump is now gracing my garage.
Great aren't they saved my a fortune in last 6 months on co2 cartridges

Was also fine on a 3" 29er Maxxis Chronicle.. could see how it might run out of puff on a full-fat 5" though..
No probs with a 2.25 Rocket Ron, admittedly not the biggest of tyres.
Though, yes, an excellent purchase & very happy with mine!

Mine failed to inflate a WTB vigilante 2.3 this week, had to fire up the compressor!
Great when it works!
Can see it being useful if i was still racing and requiring to change tyres at venue.... But for now i cant see it replacing my compressor set up.
To be fair, I have no other reason for a compressor in my garage than seating tyres ... so j think it'll do me fine. I also don't have a frame that'll takes tyres bigger than about 2.6, so again should be good.
Have you tried it on road wheels/tyres?
My old track pump is on the way out and I like the look of these. But all the reviews just talk about how easy it is to seat mtb tyres and not really how much of an annoyance it is to have to pump up the whole chamber if you just want to check the pressure on 100psi road tyres.

What didn't you like about it? So far mine seems pretty good..
I find it fine except for the fact it lets most of the air out to pressurise the chamber when you connect the hose. Which is very annoying. Still like it though!

Err no it doesn't.
First time with my 3in 29+ tyres and first time with a 4.6in fat tyre last week. You're doing something wrong. I've done about a dozen tyres with mine and maybe double that with one at work and I can only remember 2-3 times where it's needed a second shot.
No good as a normal pump though. I save mine strictly for tubeless inflation.
